Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 15, 2026

Like almost every website, MangoMeet stores small amounts of information in your browser to make the site work and remember your choices. This page explains what those technologies are, exactly what we use them for, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

What Cookies and Local Storage Are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser so it can recognize you between page loads and visits. Local storage is a similar browser feature that lets a site keep small pieces of information on your device without sending them with every request. Together, these technologies let a site remember things — that you are signed in, that you have already answered a question, or how you like the interface set up. Neither can run programs on your device or read files outside what the site itself stored.

The Categories We Use

MangoMeet uses cookies and local storage in three categories:

  • Essential. Required for the site to function at all. These keep you signed in, maintain security protections, and remember your answer to the 18+ age confirmation so you are not asked again on every visit. Essential storage cannot be switched off through the site, because the service does not work without it.
  • Preferences. Remember choices you make so the site behaves the way you left it — for example, language and interface settings. Losing these does not break anything; the site just forgets your setup.
  • Analytics (only if enabled). Where analytics is active, these help us understand how the site is used in aggregate — which pages people visit and where things go wrong — so we can improve it. Analytics data is used for measurement, not for identifying individual conversations.

For details on how any personal information collected through these technologies is handled, see our Privacy Policy.

How to Control Cookies

Every major browser lets you view, delete, and block cookies:

  • Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies / Site settings;
  • Safari: Settings (or Preferences), then Privacy;
  • Firefox: Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Cookies and Site Data;
  • Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions.

You can clear stored data for this site specifically or for all sites, and most browsers offer a private browsing mode that discards cookies when the window closes. Keep in mind that blocking or clearing essential storage will sign you out and cause the 18+ confirmation to reappear, and blocking cookies entirely may stop parts of the service from working.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as the site evolves or as the technologies we use change. Material updates will be reflected in the date at the top of this page. Questions about this policy can be sent through our contact page.

Operator Notice

This document is a template pending final review. Before publication as a binding policy, the operating company must confirm which analytics vendors, if any, are active on the site, together with the specific cookies and local storage keys each one sets and their retention periods, and update the Analytics category above accordingly. Legal review is recommended in markets that require consent management for non-essential cookies.
