Community Guidelines

Last updated: July 15, 2026

MangoMeet works because most people show up to have a genuinely good conversation. These guidelines exist to protect that — they draw the lines that keep one-on-one video chat fun for everyone. They apply to everything you do on the platform: your video, your voice, your messages, and your profile.

These guidelines are part of our Terms of Service. Breaking them has consequences, described at the bottom of this page.

Adults Only — 18+

Every person on MangoMeet must be 18 or older. No exceptions, no "almost." Using the service while under 18, helping a minor use it, or lying about your age to get in are all grounds for an immediate, permanent ban. Any conduct that sexualizes or endangers a minor will additionally be reported to the appropriate authorities. If you suspect someone is underage, report them right away — reports in this category are our highest priority.

No Nudity or Sexually Explicit Content

MangoMeet is flirty by nature — that is fine. Explicit is not. Nudity, sexual acts, sexually explicit behavior on camera, and sexually explicit material shared in chat are all prohibited, whether live, pre-recorded, drawn, or described. This applies even when both people say they are fine with it: matching connects you with real people who did not sign up for an explicit platform, and we keep the whole service safe for everyone on it. Exposing yourself to someone who did not ask for it is treated as a severe violation and typically results in a permanent ban on the first offense.

Harassment, Threats, and Hate

The person on your screen is a person. Treat them like one.

  • Harassment — insults, degrading comments, unwanted sexual remarks, badgering someone after they have said no, or repeatedly reconnecting with someone who ended the conversation — is banned.
  • Threats of violence or harm, toward anyone, are banned and may be reported to law enforcement.
  • Hate content — attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or similar characteristics — is banned, whether spoken, typed, worn, or displayed.

Disagreement, awkwardness, and dull conversations are part of meeting strangers; cruelty is not. When in doubt, end the chat and move on.

No Scams or Financial Solicitation

Asking other users for money is prohibited — full stop. That includes hard-luck stories, "emergencies," investment and crypto pitches, gift card requests, requests for payment details, and directing people to external payment links or paid services. Romance scams — building false intimacy in order to extract money — are one of the most harmful things that happen on platforms like this, and we ban for them aggressively. If someone asks you for money, do not send it; block and report them, and read our Safety Guide for what these scams look like.

No Impersonation

You do not have to share everything about yourself — privacy is healthy. But you may not pretend to be someone you are not: impersonating another person (real or invented), a celebrity, a company, or a MangoMeet team member; using someone else's photos or video as your own; or misrepresenting your age or identity to deceive people. Playful pseudonyms are fine. Deception designed to manipulate someone is not.

No Illegal Activity

Anything illegal is against these guidelines. That covers using the service to commit, plan, promote, or facilitate any crime — including fraud, extortion, sale of illegal goods or services, and solicitation of commercial sexual services — as well as any conduct that violates the laws that apply to you. Where the law requires or permits it, we cooperate with law enforcement.

What Happens When Rules Are Broken

Enforcement is proportionate but real:

  • Warnings for minor or first-time issues, so people can correct course;
  • Temporary suspensions for repeated or more serious violations;
  • Permanent bans for severe violations — anything involving minors, explicit conduct, threats, scams, or non-consensual recording typically skips the warnings entirely.

We may also remove content and, for conduct that appears criminal, preserve evidence and notify authorities. Creating new accounts to get around a ban is itself a violation, and those accounts are removed too.

How to Report

If someone violates these guidelines, use the in-app report option during or after the conversation — a short description of what happened helps us act faster. Blocking is always available too, and you never need a reason to use it. For anything the in-app tools do not cover, reach us through the contact page. Reporting is how the community protects itself: even if you have already blocked someone and moved on, your report may be the one that gets a repeat offender removed for good. For broader advice on staying safe here, see the Safety Guide.
